FW2010 / revisited

I came across these images while finishing up the new book [details to follow soon!] and thought you would like to see a few intimate moments from last season.  The book will share more but here is a little something just for now.

Jason really amazes me every season; with each collection he graduates to another level. The backstage scene was chaos [read: long, dark, narrow, and filled with people], but the collection was meticulous and perfect - with feathers sewn into fabric and gold foil and abstract patterns transferred to cloth. It's late, and due to some computer trouble earlier there will be no photos tonight. You're just gonna have to come back and have a look-see tomorrow...! Goodnight friends.

Best show of the day... Jason Wu! Loved the clothes, loved the energy, loved the pics! In need of needed sleep (already) and though Erin Wasson is having her party tonight (wish i had the strength) pics from her show to follow. Good night!

WU / who?

Three seasons ago, a few of us went to the Jason Wu show wanting to see the new kid with a lot of buzz. Actually, I was shooting for Bumble and bumble and had to be there - but there was buzz and I was genuinely curious.

Fast forward to January and Michelle Obama is wearing one of his pieces on Inauguration Day. Skip another month and Jason Wu is backstage at his Fall 09 show and a whole lot of extra people are watching. They were not disappointed. Here's a few pics below of the fun backstage as the beautiful collection unfolded on the runway. When you see these pieces in stores [6mos from now], remember to take a look at the prints!
