As you know, Friday means Fashion over here. This vintage style editorial from the May issue of Vogue Turkey really captured my attention for Fashion Friday. Beautifully shot by Luciana Val and Franco Musso and skilfully styled by Sebastian Kaufmann, the classic swimsuit styles from Prada, Yves Saint Laurent, Paul Smith and Louis Vuitton appear as if they’re straight out the 1950’s. The appeal of these quintessential styles and the hazy quality of the photographs are authentic and retro.

Swedish photographer Camilla Akrans captures contrasts in this editorial for the June issue of Vogue Japan. The Spanish-inspired garments, adorned with lace and jewels from labels like Dolce & Gabbana, Balmain and Yves Saint Laurent, and retro-styled hair with ruby lips complete the glamorously regal atmosphere styled by Sissy Vian.

One of my favourite French movie stars, Audrey Tautou, is featured in the April issue of Marie Claire Russia. Her femme fatale character from the 1950’s radiates a sophisticated elegance with a beguiling charm borrowed from the glamorous Audrey Hepburn. Shayne Laverdière captures this chic story styled by Lotta Volkova.

the May issue of Vogue China features some amazing editorials. I was drawn to this shoot which I recently posted for Fashion Friday and this editorial from the same issue is equally as lovely. Lensed by Lachlan Bailey, the delicately diaphanous florals are the true hero of this shoot, while model Abbey Lee Kershaw gives flawless support to Clare Richardson’s styling.
