A story about Fable

I came across Fable at the recently held Design Indaba Expo [my SA design highlight of the year with an array of amazing inspirations]. Fable, a beautiful fabric range which is happily home grown in South Africa, is sophisticated with appealing prints. This charming and imaginative range has a gorgeously elegant colour palette. They showcased a select range of products, two fabric collections and a select wallpaper range at the Expo.

Their site explains, ‘A long dreamed-about project came to life when Kelly Silberman and Marike Rood met; and through a creative friendship, collaborated to form Fable.
Fable strives to evoke imagination, offer playful sophistication and add beauty to a well designed home. Their newly launched fabric ranges are fresh, yet subtle and often influenced by childhood memories. A base clothe that is naturally luxurious, in combination with contemporary design, brings a quiet balance between modern day life and old world ideas.
The beauty of the fabric is so compelling that it brought about a flourish of products. All locally sourced material is utilized. They thrive on working with local Capetonian artisans. "To be surrounded by these artisans has opened our eyes to the wonder that lies in local South African manufacturing.”’

Don’t miss out on their fab competition to win a giant floor cushion. Quick, it ends on Friday:
