Showcase: Aurore de la Morinerie

Today I bring to you the work of French illustrator, Aurore de le Morinerie. Her work is imbued with the delicate touch of Japanese minimalism. No excessive or unnecessary details are added, which takes quite an impressive level of restraint, in my opinion. Architect Mies van der Rohe’s famous mantra ‘Less is More’ is indeed the truth with these beautiful and seemingly effortless illustrations. Aurore works primarily in watercolour and ink, and has illustrated for Le Monde, ELLE, World of Interiors, and various prestigious fashion houses including Hermès and Issey Miyake. The chic, sophisticated style of her work is completely memorable.
