I came across the work of Danish fashion photographer Sigurd Grunberger in the May issue of Elle Denmark. His eloquently simple editorial featuring model Laura Blokhina stood out from among the more crowded, saturated shoots around. The natural blond wood and neutrally-toned set contrasted perfectly with the colour blocked fashion brights – this palette is exactly what I spotted in the windows on a recent trip to Italy. I love the electric blue, tangerine and emerald green against the pale ivory.
Another editorial by Grunberger caught my eye, this one for L'officiel Levant. This one stood out for similar reasons: the camel and tan shades contrasting with the solid, bold colours, and a beautifully simple aesthetic without too much fuss and bother. So striking:
