prototype

The interaction between the fashion and art world can be a delicate and tantalizing thread, not always obvious. There might be a subtle nuance which connects an artist’s work to that of a fashion designer’s creations. Today over at Freeworld Design Centre, I share my observations of Christian Dior’s spring couture show and the work of Kees Goudzwaard.

Sometimes what appears to be the starting out point or the preliminary stages of a design is actually the end product. Our perception of ‘finished’ in both fashion and art is then altered, with an extremely satisfying and desirable incomplete completeness.
