growth rings: Krosser

krosser-2

I’m so taken by Growth Rings, a Norwegian collection of furniture produced from its own forests. Each trunk has its own history where you can count the rings and no two are alike. The growth rings come in white, grey, black and natural and each stump of the tree rings collection is numbered. They look amazing grouped together and also individually placed.

Wood is a living material and, depending on the temperature and humidity levels, it changes over time. Cracks are formed and some of the stumps have large gaps, others have little or small cracks. The stump changes a little when it comes into your environment at home… unique cracks can appear or disappear, subtle changes which help create life in the stump!
