There’s a new shop on my local block! But not any kind of shop. This one is filled with wit, humour and loads of beautifully designed, contemporary decor items which you’ll immediately want to take home with you.
“It’s a filthy rotten world, but it has some smashing things in it!” quotes lovely owner Nicki, who chatted to me the other day about her passion for good design and quality decor items. She stocks carefully chosen and internationally sourced products for her mini-shopping mecca in the heart of Newlands Village. The name Brompton Cross comes from an area in London where Kensington meets Chelsea, made famous for its design-led shops galore. Inspiration indeed!
At Brompton Cross you will find delicate Bribe glassware, Jan Constantine and Barbara Coupe hand embroidered cushions, Finnish brand Iittala and French porcelain designs by Pillivuyt, to name just a few.
The fun and cheerful children's items are lovely, perfect for the little people in your life!
